Couples Counselling

My work with couples is grounded in an integrative approach, drawing on attachment theory and the Gottman Method. I offer a supportive, collaborative space to help couples understand their patterns and develop healthier ways of relating.

I can support couples with:

  • Improving communication and understanding each other’s needs

  • Building a stronger partnership and working together as a team

  • Emotional connection and co-regulation, creating greater safety and connection

  • Managing recurring conflict and breaking unhelpful patterns

  • Rebuilding trust after betrayal or infidelity

  • Strengthening intimacy and relationship satisfaction

What to expect

The first one or two sessions focus on understanding your relationship, including its strengths, challenges and recurring patterns. Where helpful, I may also meet with each partner individually to explore personal and relational experiences.

Where appropriate, you may have practical exercises to try between sessions. We review your experiences and feedback together in the following session, noticing what is helping and where we may need to focus our attention.

Individual Counselling

My work is grounded in an integrative approach, drawing on different therapeutic approaches to support your individual needs, with a particular focus on nervous system regulation, Polyvagal-informed therapy, and the connection between emotions, thoughts and the body.

Therapy can offer a supportive space to understand what you are experiencing, recognise patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop new ways of responding to difficult emotions and situations.

I can support individuals with:

  • Anxiety, stress and overwhelm

  • Depression

  • Emotional regulation and managing difficult emotions

  • Relationship difficulties and recurring patterns

  • Low self-esteem and self-confidence

  • Life transitions and significant changes

  • Difficult or overwhelming experiences

  • Understanding nervous system responses and developing greater emotional safety

  • Building resilience, self-awareness and healthier coping strategies

We work collaboratively towards greater self-understanding, emotional regulation, resilience and a stronger sense of safety and connection.

Where appropriate, you may have practical exercises to try between sessions. We review your experiences together, consider what is helping, and identify where further attention or support may be needed.
